Vanilla deepens an already dark, sweetly leathery oud.

It opens with the same sparkling elemi and saffron leather as the eau de parfum, but oud and patchouli sit heavier from the start. Vanilla folds into the atlas cedar base, turning the drydown thicker and sweeter than the eau de parfum's.

KSI Take: This is the heavier, more concentrated version of Kurkdjian's Oud, and the added vanilla makes it warmer but also less versatile for daytime than the eau de parfum. Wear it in the evening, in cold weather, where the extrait's density and sweetness have room to unfold without turning cloying, and expect it to sit close to the skin rather than fill a room.
