Bay leaf, oregano, coriander and angelica open herbal and almost medicinal, an unusual start for an amber fragrance. Labdanum, myrrh, sandalwood, patchouli, benzoin and vanilla take over from there, settling into a boozy, toffee like amber that stays close to the skin after the first couple of hours.

KSI Take: This built its reputation as an amber for people bored of vanilla scented ambers, but on repeated wears it can feel more cozy and safe than genuinely complex, and the herbal opening is polarizing enough that some smell Chinese medicine rather than incense. Wear it in cold weather when you want warmth without sweetness, since it turns into a soft skin scent after a couple of hours and never gets loud.
