Vanilla in full dimension: boozy, balsamic, fermented, floral and darkly textured.

Vanille opens with orange, bergamot and pink pepper before Bourbon vanilla absolute and Sabah vanilla tincture reveal rum, dried-fruit and tobacco-like facets. Magnolia and rose add lift while fermented cocoa, tonka, Peru balsam, benzoin and sandalwood deepen the finish.

KSI Take: This is the vanilla bean rather than a vanilla dessert. Sweetness is present, but fermentation, cacao, woods and balsams give it grain, shadow and a beautifully natural complexity.
