Rosemary, sage, black pepper, star anise and plum open sharp and slightly sweet before birch tar, cumin, Bulgarian rose, myrrh and Virginia tobacco push it into a smoky, resinous heart. Suede, leather, oud, frankincense, honey and praline settle the drydown into a rich, smoky sweetness that runs for ten to fourteen hours.

KSI Take: This leans hard into birch tar and rough suede rather than a polished, refined leather, closer to a Western saddle than a French leather glove, and the candied plum opening can read a little too sweet in the first few minutes. Wear it in cold weather for casual, low key nights, since the ten plus hour longevity and heavy projection make it a poor choice anywhere you need to stay quiet.
