Bitter almond, ginger and bergamot open it with a marzipan edge, the heart puts gardenia absolute alongside osmanthus, mango, Azerbaijani rose and ylang ylang, and the base runs musk, white amber and tonka through Mysore sandalwood and white oud with vanilla underneath.

KSI Take: Bitter almond up top is what keeps this from being another creamy white floral, and the mango and osmanthus pull the gardenia toward fruit rather than soap. Mysore sandalwood in the base is the expensive part and you can tell. Gardenia soliflores usually turn plastic within an hour; this one does not.
