Powdery violet laid over smooth dark leather, built from 267 raw materials.
Petitgrain, Calabrian bergamot, Egyptian violet leaf absolute, Tunisian neroli and hedione open green and bright. Orris butter, hay, mimosa, star anise, carnation, jasmine, muguet and damask rose fill an enormous heart, and the base goes animal with leather, castoreum, mousse de saxe, Indian sandalwood, beeswax, benzoin, honey, jonquil, labdanum and silver birch.
Perfumed by: Angelos Balamis
Released: 2024
KSI Take: Balamis calls this his symphony and the comparison holds, because 267 materials should smell like mud and instead everything plays in concert, closer to a vintage Caron or the extrait of Après L'Ondée than to anything modern. The smoky animal facets run through the whole wear rather than just the opening, which some people cannot get past, and it drops to a skin scent after about three hours; a cold weather, evening fragrance for people who like the old chypres.
