Cardamom pod and elemi open sharp and aromatic with a diffused rose softening the edge. Laotian oud, white leather and ambergris build the heart, and frankincense, vetiver and Virginia cedarwood pull the base cold and dry. At thirty percent it performs like an extrait.

KSI Take: This is a European oud, clean and sculpted rather than barnyard, and the icy vetiver against the warm wood is what makes it worth your time in an overcrowded rose-oud category. If you want the medicinal, animalic Middle Eastern style of oud, this will read as too polished; it is a cold weather evening fragrance.
