Honeysuckle, magnolia and blackcurrant bud open transparent and green. Heliotrope, jasmine and orange flower create a powdery floral centre, then Assam oud, cypriol, patchouli and vanilla give it a shadowed, musky base.

KSI Take: McCall makes the oud act as an outline rather than a subject, which is unusual and works. Anyone who dislikes the almond powder side of heliotrope will not get past the heart, but for everyone else this is the most quietly distinctive thing in the house.
