A saffron accord and pink pepper CO2 extract open sharp and slightly metallic, then Boya Vietnam and myrrh oil bring resin and wood before Madagascar patchouli and Bourbon vanilla soften everything.

KSI Take: The saffron reads leathery instead of sweet for the first hour, which gives this more grip than the gourmand label suggests. It is a small, well made composition rather than an ambitious one, and it works best as a cold weather workhorse instead of a collection centrepiece.
