Juniper berry, black pepper and petitgrain open it cool and green before frankincense, cardamom, cinnamon and nutmeg warm the heart, then olibanum, caraway, cocoa, oud, tonka bean, oakmoss and vetiver carry a long resinous drydown.

KSI Take: The cocoa is the reason this one works. Thai oud on its own can turn sharp and medicinal, and the cocoa and tonka pull it back toward something you can actually wear to dinner without clearing the room. It is still an extrait and it still has teeth, so one spray is the whole dose. Cold weather, evening, and give it an hour before you decide.
