Philosopher’s Veil begins bright and sharply aromatic with silver French lavender, wild oregano, ginger root, juniper berry and coriander seed. Then it turns inward: davana goes liquid gold while myrrh and vanilla pods soften the herbs into a resinous glow. Oakmoss and musks give the drydown an earthy, human depth.

KSI Take: Meditative but never timid, moving from clarity to introspection over the course of a wear. The herbal opening is bracing and not for everyone, so give it twenty minutes; it wears well year round and suits the office as easily as a quiet evening.
