Bergamot, kopi luwak coffee and black pepper open bright and bitter at once. Frangipani takes the heart with cardamom, ylang-ylang and labdanum around it, and Haitian vetiver, myrrh, frankincense, vanilla, Siam oud, Turkish coffee and beeswax build a base that is resinous and roasted in equal measure.

KSI Take: Two different coffees doing two different jobs is the clever part here, the kopi luwak reading bright and almost fruity up top while the Turkish coffee in the base goes dark and grounds. Coffee is a polarising note that turns sour on some skin as it dries, and the frangipani makes this sweeter than the pyramid suggests, so test before committing. Evening, cold weather.
