Paraguayan yerba mate absolute opens bitter and leafy against bergamot and lemon sfuma. Petitgrain from the same country builds a green tea accord through the middle with lavandin and cardamom, and palo santo from the Paraguayan Chaco closes it with vetiver and a pair of cedar oils.

KSI Take: This is the most convincing mate I have smelled outside of an actual gourd, and at ninety percent natural origin the bitterness reads as plant rather than flavouring. The trade off is projection, because it sits close and quiet after the first hour, so treat it as a daytime signature rather than something anyone notices across a room.
