Buchu and pomegranate open it tart and almost jammy, karkade and hibiscus carry that red sourness into the heart where ylang-ylang and vanilla round it off, and cedar, oud and a thread of smoke dry the whole thing out so it never reads as dessert.

KSI Take: The pomegranate jam note is the hook and it is genuinely well done, tart rather than syrupy. The catch is that the smoke and oud arrive earlier than you expect, so if you came for the fruit you will spend most of the wear in woodsmoke instead. That shift is the point, but it is abrupt. Wear it in the evening in cool weather, where the smoke has room to sit.
