Bright Calabrian citrus descends into vanilla, oakmoss and the green shadow of a modern chypre.

Vert Noir lifts bergamot and Italian orange with petitgrain before white champaca, ylang-ylang, Sabah vanilla tincture and tonka soften the center. Oakmoss, patchouli, Peru balsam, sandalwood and vetiver give the base its dark, mossy structure.

KSI Take: A chypre rebuilt for people who do not usually love chypres. The green opening is radiant rather than severe, while vanilla and balsams make the descent warm, plush and quietly strange.
