Three agarwoods, two roses, and oakmoss still doing the work.

Bergamot, apricot and neroli open it soft, with cardamom and olibanum cutting the sweetness back. The heart stacks Turkish and Azerbaijan rose against Ko Chang agarwood, filled out by pink lotus, osmanthus, tuberose and Indian jasmine. The base is where the chypre actually lives: oakmoss, patchouli, orris and vetiver, with Trat and Sri Lanka agarwood laid over them. Madagascar vanilla, Brazilian tonka, amber, white ambergris and civet hold it close to the skin.

KSI Take: Three agarwoods over real oakmoss is a structure almost nobody builds now, and the civet in the base is what makes it read vintage rather than modern Gulf. The rose heart is loud for the first hour and then sinks into the moss, so judge it at the two hour mark and not at the spray. It is the least casual bottle in the house and it wants cold weather.
