Sweet orange opens it bright and sunlit before a thick heart of honey, beeswax and propolis arrives with apricot and peach behind it. Spices, incense, cypress, castoreum and Laotian oud then pull the base somewhere far darker than the opening suggests.

KSI Take: The house calls this a ray of sunshine, and the first ten minutes earn that, but osmanthus, propolis and beeswax together read sticky and faintly medicinal rather than sweet, and the castoreum and oud underneath mean it does not stay sunny. Buy it for the honey and the autumn fruit, not for a bright citrus you expect to last. One spray is plenty, and it suits cool weather better than heat.
