Three ouds, chocolate and tar, and a Kinam at the centre of it.

Cardamom and red saffron open bright and spiced with vanilla softening the edges. Frankincense sacra, labdanum, myrrh, beeswax and guaiac wood build a resinous heart, and the base stacks Hindi, Kinam and South Thai oud against an amber accord, chocolate, cocoa and a thread of tar.

KSI Take: Kinam is the most expensive agarwood on earth and almost nobody uses it honestly, so a composition built around it at this price is doing something unusual rather than just charging for the word. The gourmand chocolate and cocoa in the base will strike oud purists as a compromise, and the tar makes the first twenty minutes genuinely dark, so this is an evening fragrance for cold weather and not a casual one.
