Bergamot, cardamom and nutmeg open bright and dry. Immortelle, Arabica coffee, brown sugar and whisky build the spiced, syrupy heart the house is known for, and oud, patchouli, saffron, sandalwood, vetiver and gurjun balsam take the base somewhere resinous and considerably darker.

KSI Take: This is the oud rework of the house's own Immortelle rather than a separate idea, so the brown sugar and coffee heart will feel familiar if you already know that one. The oud is the difference and it is restrained rather than medicinal, which will disappoint anyone hunting a heavy Gulf style agarwood. The immortelle is still loud on application, so a light hand pays off. Cold weather, evening.
