Blood orange and black pepper sharpened into a rose with claws.
Italian orange, blood orange and red mandarin open bright and bitter with black pepper and blackcurrant cutting underneath. Bulgarian and Italian red rose arrive with jasmine de Grasse and red champaca, then Madagascan patchouli, Javanese vetiver and Bengali nagarmotha drag the drydown into dry, rooty earth with vanilla softening the edge.

KSI Take: This is a rose that refuses to be pretty, and the nagarmotha and vetiver base is where it earns the name. The pepper in the opening is genuinely sharp for the first ten minutes, so give it time to settle before you judge it, and wear it in cool weather where the earthy base has room to bloom.
KSI Scent Profile: Rose · Peppery · Fruity · Earthy · Woody
