Superfluid extracts of black and pink pepper from Madagascar open sharp and dry. A vanilla bourbon concrete infusion from the same island fills the heart with a rounder, darker vanilla than the usual gourmand version, and cedarwood, patchouli and guaiac wood keep the planifolia base long and genuinely unisex.

KSI Take: This won the Fragrance Foundation France prize for responsible innovation in 2023 and it deserved it, because the concrete infusion gives a vanilla with body and bitterness instead of dessert. The pepper opening is brief and the whole thing settles fast, so if you want a vanilla that announces itself this is not it, and it works best as an everyday skin scent in cold weather.
