Indonesian nutmeg and juniper berry oils open spicy and aromatic with a cold edge. An ambery benzoin absolute from Sumatra fills the middle, faceted with clove leaf and bud, and premium Indonesian patchouli, cedars and Java vetiver close it with ambrox for a modern woody finish.

KSI Take: The patchouli here is the good kind, dark and earthy rather than the soapy version most houses use, and the benzoin keeps it warm instead of dusty. The ambrox in the base does a lot of the projection work and can read slightly synthetic against ninety two percent naturals, so expect a modern finish rather than a vintage one, and wear it in cool weather.
