Raspberry, a water accord, fig leaf and Akigalawood open cool and green with the fruit kept tart rather than jammy. Lily of the valley, salicylate and cedarwood build a damp floral middle, and sandalwood, ambroxan and oakmoss finish it dry.

KSI Take: The petrichor effect here is as photorealistic as the genre gets, and it is the reason to own this rather than another blue fragrance. The salicylate is the problem: on some skin it tips from mineral into something closer to cleaning product, and more than one experienced nose has pointed out how near this lands to Kenzo pour Homme Marine, which costs a quarter as much. Try it before you commit, and wear it in heat.
